This is an administrative position with responsibilities for planning, directing, managing, monitoring, leading, and supervising all operations, systems, and personnel in the dispatch division.

Qualifications: High school diploma or its equivalent, experience comparable to a minimum of five (5) years of dispatch experience. Supervisory experience comparable to a minimum of three (3) years of experience. Must have the ability to effectively multitask while simultaneously using multiple information systems. Must possess excellent moral character, be dependable, and be able to work a Monday-Friday day shift schedule with some flexibility depending on agency needs. Selection process includes oral interviews, background investigation, medical and psychological evaluation, drug/alcohol screening, county residency is not required. Current 2024 top pay of $39.622 per hour, with a hiring rate of $33.460 – $35.223 per hour, based on experience and certification. Columbia County also offers great benefits for sick time, holiday time and vacation time.
