Substance Abuse Counselor I/II
Jackson County DHHS is seeking to fill a Substance Abuse Counselor I/II position. This is a full-time position in our outpatient behavioral health clinic providing individual/group substance abuse counseling. This position may also work collaboratively with administration, service facilitators, consumers, and community vendors to ensure positive consumer outcomes for individuals served by the CCS program.
Requirements: An Associate’s Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from an accredited school, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Valid License as Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC); Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC); or LCSW, LPC, LMFT with attached Substance Use Disorder specialty. Intoxicated Driver Program Approved Training preferred, or obtained within the first year of work; and a valid driver’s license. Minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience in public or private AODA treatment. CCS experience preferred. Starting salary $56,243 – $78,500 per year plus excellent County benefit package and State retirement.
